JADE DARMAWANGSA: Like show weird side of you, don’t need to always be on brand. The worst thing is when you become predictable, I am bored.
INTERVIEWER: So let’s dive into Instagram. So Jade what are the three things people are sleeping on, when it comes to crushing it on Instagram go?
JADE DARMAWANGSA: The biggest thing, you’re missing out on is definitely creating, like shorter for like a lot of people put like lawn captions, which I do a lot. But there’s something, about the stupid contact that, I’m sorry, like comedy works on Instagram.
If you’re not funny, maybe that’s not advice. But I think showing silliness, memes it does well do it in your own style. Second thing, I would say, is people are sleeping on I mean I watch your cooking stories it’s nice to know, like show a weird side of you.
You don’t need to always be on brand. The worst thing is when you become predictable, I am bored. If you’re someone who makes educational content and this is just because I live in the marking world. Switch it up, okay.
Add some of your cooking videos a run a little bit, and talk about your family. No one just wants to hear about the same thing over and over again. So switch it up and be yourself and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there.
The third thing, if I have to say was, DM’ing is really unique to me because I always, whenever, I think about my low engagement. It’s like typically there’s a correlation to health and really engaged I am.
And the core root of it a really good way, you can engage older people is going older posts, like and say like, hey, I haven’t seen you a while, just literally have the guts to just talk to them. They’re humans and they just want to know, what’s going on become less of an influencer but more of a friend to people.
INTERVIEWER: It’s been proven. When you DM somebody, they will show up on your feet almost number one because the answer I never thought of Instagram as an algorithm. But there is an algorithm there, and if things if you’re talking to him directly, and this is something YouTube is lost, that direct connection, they’ve kind of lost there, right?
JADE DARMAWANGSA: Yeah.
INTERVIEWER: When you do that, which is seems very personal. It assumes, and probably it is very correct that you care about this person. Now on that from the influencer standpoint it’s a little different, and now they have these separate pages, which I don’t even understand.
JADE DARMAWANGSA: Yeah.
INTERVIEWER: But I’ve heard from other influencers on Instagram that it does work. A second tip that you shared on your channel, you said, share is a really important.
JADE DARMAWANGSA: Yeah. So, yeah, that’s another thing. If you make me to contact, it works really well. Shares because people, I don’t know if you have to little group chats with your family or just friends, but people share that.
Like means we have a group chat where we share funny content. So if you can follow the place. Instagram will see that as a good post, because it increases their mission statement which is to connect more content.
