“You can unfriend your friend in Facebook, but you can’t un-neighbor your neighbour (in real life)” – Yuval Noah Harari.
The biggest challenges humanity faces in the 21st century are related to the rise of artificial intelligence and the proliferation of fake news. These are the two issues that Yuval Noah Harari, author of the book Sapiens, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg talked about in a recent Facebook Live session. The two thinkers addressed the potential of AI to destroy human beings, the need for more attention to be paid to education and the danger of new wars being fought in cyberspace. Their conversation was mostly serious, with Zuckerberg and Harari agreeing on most issues. However, at one point Zuckerberg broke into a joke, saying that Harari should tell his readers to stop spreading fake news about him.
