Cats can be fickle creatures, but they can also be fantastic companions. But like any pet, they require dedicated time and care – and not everyone has the capacity to provide it. Elephant Robotics has decided to tackle this by creating the world’s first bionic cat. The company hopes that its bionic cat will provide an option for those looking fora four-legged companion with a little less responsibility.
MarsCatCat does just about everything a real cat does – it walks, runs, stretches, kneads, plays with toys, and bites its nails. It’s fully responsive and has sensitive interactions, reacting differently depending on where and how it’s petted. It also recognizes human faces and reacts to people it knows. It includes voice recognition and voice control and is able to recognize 20 keywords (including come here, sit, be quiet, and words of praise). MarsCat sees objects, plays with toys, moves freely and avoids obstacles MarsCat includes an open API for programming and Raspberry Pi. It integrates open source modules like vision and haptic, microcontroller, gyro sensor and more.
Features
● Autonomous – MarsCat doesn’t need the company of its owner. When the owner is busy and unable to play with it, MarsCat will do actions randomly and keep itself entertained, just like a real cat
● Interactive – When people touch its head, back, or chin, it will react differently. It can see objects and can play with toys. It can react to your voice. It can avoid obstacles and move freely.
● Unique -From the color of its body and eyes to its personality, each and every MarsCat is completely unique. Its personality is set randomly and changes based on the way people play with it.
● Programmable – MarsCat can be programmed by its owners, who can give their MarsCat more
functions using Raspberry Pi, or API.
