What does it mean to be an entrepreneur? You take extreme risks. You change the industry you’re in. You serve others first. Here’s why you must have these three traits to flourish in business.
BEDROS KEUILIAN: People ask me all the time what it means to be an entrepreneur. And I think that they think it means having to a fancy mansion and lots of cars and maybe a private jet and all this fame.
But to me being an entrepreneur means three very specific things. The number one is that you’re a pioneer you’re an innovator of your industry or your product or your service. Thing number two is that you’re a risk taker think about this.
You’re willing to leave a job that pays you and it gives your health benefits and that gives you vacation pay you’re willing to take a financial risk you’re willing to take an emotional risk. You’re willing to risk your family without knowing what the outcome is going to be so that you can innovate and recreate a product or service.
And think number three of being an entrepreneur is that you have to be a person of service. You have to be able to serve the industry, that you’re in. You have to be able to serve the clients and customers who deal with you because if you’re not a person of service, you’ll never make it as an entrepreneur.
And if you can do these three things then right now is your building your empire as an entrepreneur. You’re going to do the most amount of work for the least amount of pay. So that in the very near future you can do the least amount of work for the most amount of pay see you later.
