Kotresh’s career is marked by significant leadership roles where he has consistently driven technological advancement and operational excellence:
- Current Role at KONE Elevators India: As the Head of ITEC at KONE India, he is responsible for leading the technology and engineering initiatives for one of the world’s leading elevator and escalator companies, focusing on innovation and localized solutions for the Indian market and beyond.
- Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) Global R&D Transformation Leader: Prior to joining KONE, Kotresh played a crucial role at Honeywell, spearheading the operationalization of HTS’s global Annual Operating Plan (AOP). He drove the Program Management Office (PMO) for strategic priorities, talent strategy, process excellence, functional transformation, and engineering operations (EOPS), with a strong focus on growth, execution excellence, and talent development.
- Honeywell Madurai Site Leader: He successfully led the Honeywell Madurai Site, which comprised over 450 engineers across various businesses and functions. In this role, he was responsible for defining and driving the site’s strategic vision, growth, talent management, and operational excellence. Notably, he established the Honeywell Global Sustainability Center of Excellence in Madurai.
- Global Engineering Leadership in Aerospace: Throughout his career at Honeywell, Kotresh held various global engineering leadership positions across a wide range of Aerospace products, including Control Systems, Displays and Graphics, Flight Management Systems, Flight Controls, and Communication and Navigation Systems. In these roles, he achieved significant improvements, including a remarkable 50% cost and cycle time reduction for Software testing.
Kotresh holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering, providing him with a strong foundational understanding of technology. His career reflects his expertise in leading diverse global engineering teams and fostering innovation and product development in key locations such as India, China, Mexico, and the Czech Republic.
