Tim Grover was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1960. He grew up in a rough neighborhood and started playing basketball when he was eight years old. He always had a passion for basketball and played in high school and college. He was a part of the original “Dream Team” in 1992. After college, Tim joined the Chicago Bulls as an assistant coach. He was a part of the team that won three NBA Championships. He was the personal trainer for many NBA players, including Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Dwyane Wade, among others. In 1994, he became the Director of Chicago Bulls Training Camp. He then became the personal trainer for Jordan during his minor-league baseball stint. Jordan called Grover his “secret weapon”. Jordan spoke highly of Grover’s motivational skills. Grover is the author of the book Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable.
